Hi all,

A little feature I sometimes look at when advertising with PPC.

If I was using PPC for an insurance company, and I am looking at the keyword "life assurance" I would look to google trends to see when to concentrate most of my efforts in advertising.

Let's try it out:

Google Trends: life assurance

Notice how it tapers off towards the end of the year.

My thinking is that many people won't be thinking about death at this time of the year, and typically put things off like Life assurance to the new year!

Of course this is taken as a world wide snap shot, and focusing on Ireland doesnt return enough results to analyse.

However there are plenty of other terms you can try too.

Try Car Insurance and looking at Ireland:
Google Trends: car insurance

My thinking is that more cars are bought in the new year, and therefore more insurance renewals take place then.

So I would look to focusing my budget at the peak times people are searching.

Just another little tool I use ;)

Kev.
