Wordpress is 19 Years old

Wordpress is 19 years old this week!

I remember when I started blogging back in around 2003 it wasn't even around, or was nowhere near ready for prime time. Back then Movable Type was, in many respects, a much saner option if you wanted to self-host your own blog.
So when I started my first blog that's what I chose.
It wasn't for a year or two that I'd even consider switching to Wordpress

My congratulations to WordPress and many years of prosperity to it. I remember the first time I used it in 2015. It seemed to me that there was nothing more convenient in the whole world that time.

I think I had definitely installed a 1.X version at one time.

Wow! I'm not sure which version I installed when I finally gave it a go and moved from Movable Type to Wordpress back in 2004 Movable Type > Wordpress
